Alex Albon relishes time at Williams after finishing P11 at Imola

Williams driver Alex Albon said he was pleased with the team’s approach to the Imola Grand Prix on Sunday as they finished just outside the top ten.
The Thai/British rider picked up a fine tenth place in Australia at round three of this year’s world championship, and was naturally looking to build on that in Italy.
However, he fell just short of the top ten, dropping to P11 in the final standings, although he still took the positives from the result.
“I was really happy with it. We maximized what we could do…” Albon told the press gathered at Imola, including Give Me Sport.
“We don’t have the fastest car but we’re making the most of our opportunities and it’s a shame we missed the points by one position but it shows you that we take opportunities and do things differently and we almost got it working again.” .”
Albon was also asked how confident he felt after another solid showing following his time in Australia:
“It’s very nice, I feel really comfortable in the car and confident with it and I feel like I can push it straight away. I always understand the car and the best way to drive it. , but for now it’s a good starting point and hopefully once we have some improvements we can take the next step towards midfield.
