Currency Exchange International: Travel experience of a CXI Regional Manager in Toronto, Canada

Getting There
On vacation, I always like to build my own trip. I flew to Canada from Baltimore / Washington International Airport (BWI) for a 5 day stay. I like to fly away with a general idea of what I would like to do on a daily basis. It helps to start fresh every day.
Travel advice: according to Kayak.com, the cheapest month to travel to Italy is March.
Move
Getting around was very easy. I stayed at the Westin Harbor Castle and had easy access to everything within walking distance. I took a cab from Toronto to Harbor Castle and Lyft to the airport at the end of my stay. Taxi was rather expensive 60 CAD compared to Lyft which was only 25 CAD.

What to do
I enjoyed a day trip to Niagara with the Airlink Niagara tours. The trip was around 8-9 hours, only 120 CAD, and also included a meal and guided tours. I used a city pass which gave me entry to several hot spots including the CN Tower and Ripley Aquarium. Niagara was the most memorable part of the trip and resonated with me the idea that we are one. I felt like I was part of something bigger than myself.

Where to eat?
I ate a lot of maple syrup, it’s free in all tourist spots! I even bought some with me. There was this little submarine shop about 0.2 mile from my hotel that had some amazing, really inexpensive submarines. My entire meal was around CAD 6. I also went to Tim Hortons which was a real treat.

Travel tips
I have learned that airports are very different. I had to take out all the liquids and put them in a separate bag. Their TSA was very nice about it and let me know for the next time.
