As you probably know, the Seattle Sounders are coming off a pretty big midweek game. Even if they hadn’t spent the night celebrating their Concacaf Champions League title, a heavy rotation would probably have been in order. It’s hard to imagine more than one or two starters from Wednesday resuming their role today.

At the same time, the Sounders are very conscious of their need to start racking up points in the league and have five points to rack up on the court just to qualify for the playoffs. It starts tonight in Dallas.

Dallas got off to a strong start, sitting fourth in the West and riding a seven-game unbeaten streak. They are managed by Jesus Ferreira, who has registered six goals and one assist in nine appearances. Dallas also allowed just seven goals, tied for second in the league.

• The Sounders won their last trip to Dallas, a 1-0 result that also ended a 10-game winless streak there. The Sounders are currently riding a five-game unbeaten streak against Dallas, including two playoff wins.
• Ethan Dobbelaere has been officially recalled from his loan spell at MFK Vyškov and will be immediately eligible for selection. The 19-year-old suffered a hand injury before making an official appearance and has been back in Seattle training with the Sounders for a few months.
