Huge BJP wave in Gujarat, party will break all records this time: Anurag Thakur
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said there is a “huge wave of BJP” in Gujarat and this time the party will break all previous records and form the state government again.
He also said the BJP government at the Center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would “return to power in 2024” winning over 400 parliamentary seats.
Addressing the BJP’s ‘Gaurav Yatra’ in Malvan village, Gujarat’s Valsad district, Mr Thakur said it was under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership that Hindu symbols had been honored and the Ram temple in Ayodhya had become a reality.
“There is a huge wave of BJP in Gujarat and this time the party will break all records,” Minister Thakur said in a meeting during the yatra on Saturday.
Attacking the Congress and the Aam Aadmi party, he alleged that before an “Italia woman” used to “insult” the prime minister, now “an Italia insults her mother”.
Although he did not name either, the apparent targets of his tirade were Italian-born Congresswoman Sonia Gandhi and AAP Gujarat unit chief Gopal Italia. .
“Previously an Italian insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now an Italia insulted her mother,” said the Union’s youth and sports minister.
Gujarat did not accept this “insult” earlier, and it will not accept it now, he said, adding that “Gujarat will give an appropriate response”.
On Sunday, Mr Thakur hailed Prime Minister Modi for the launch of digital banking units and said it would further facilitate the banking process for the public.
