This distinction rewards his efforts to help dozens of elderly people infected with Covid-19, who are being treated in Florence
The Association of Italian Arab Women (AIWA) and ASP Firenze Montedomini have designed a commemorative plaque in the name of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Maternity and Childhood, Supreme President of the Foundation for Family Development (FDF) and the “Mother of the Nation”, who will be attached to the main entrance of the Montedomini Foundation, in honor of her efforts to help dozens of elderly people infected with Covid-19, who are being treated in the Italian city of Florence.
Reem Al Falasi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, unveiled the commemorative plaque at a special ceremony held on the occasion during his visit to the Foundation in Florence, Italy.
She was joined by Omar Obaid Mohamed Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Italian Republic; Alessia Bertini, Deputy Mayor of Florence; Randa Eid, Secretary General of the Association of Italian Arab Women; Mafalda de Savoie, President of the Association of Italian Arab Women; Luigi Paccosi, president of the Montedomini Foundation, and Emanuela Pelicano, general manager of the Montedomini Foundation.
Al Falasi donated to the Montedomini Foundation a painting by Emirati artist Ashwaq Abdulla depicting Emirati women wearing traditional dress.
